Hezbollah in Lebanon launched more than 30 rockets towards northern Israel, after which Israel attacked Hezbollah's missile launchers and infrastructure in southern Lebanon.
The Israeli military said that on the evening of April 22, the Hezbollah movement in Lebanon launched more than 30 rockets toward northern Israel.
The launches set off sirens in the city of Safed and other communities in northern Israel, but there were no reports of casualties.
In response, the Israel Defense Forces attacked Hezbollah missile launchers and infrastructure in southern Lebanon.
Cross-border fighting has been ongoing between Israel and Hezbollah since October 8, 2023, a day after the start of the war between the Hamas Islamist movement and Israel in the Gaza Strip.
Israeli attacks have been largely limited to Lebanon's southern border area. However, Israel has recently expanded its attacks further north.
