On the morning of January 23, the Trade Union and Makalot Vietnam Garment Company Limited (Thanh Ha, Hai Duong) presented 131.5 million VND to Ms. Pham Thi Hoa, a garment worker in department C06-MK3.
Ms. Hoa has worked at the company for 10 years and now suffers from stage 5 kidney failure, both kidneys have atrophied. Every week, Ms. Hoa has to undergo dialysis and blood transfusions 3 times at the Provincial General Hospital.
Ms. Hoa's mother and sister are checking the procedures for her kidney transplant, but the cost of the transplant is up to 600 million VND. Ms. Hoa's husband is a freelancer, has no stable income, and the family's finances are difficult.
The Trade Union of Makalot Vietnam Garment Company Limited has called on union members to raise the above amount of money to help Ms. Hoa.
