Scrap is collected and gathered at these locations in large quantities. In addition to scrap iron, most scrap is flammable plastic, paper, and cardboard.

These scrap purchasing facilities are often small in area or temporary factories. Fire prevention and fighting systems are absent or not guaranteed. This reality poses a high risk of fire and explosion. If a fire occurs, it will be very dangerous for the homeowner and neighboring households, especially on hot summer days.
