Hai Duong piloted digital transcripts

On the morning of May 10, the Department of Education and Training organized a pilot implementation of digital report cards for primary schools in Hai Duong province for the 2023-2024 school year.

At the conference, leaders and specialists in charge of primary school level 12 of the Department of Education and Training, along with more than 500 managers and IT officers of primary education institutions in the province were informed by experts about the basic orientations on piloting digital transcripts in particular and the digital transformation of the sector in general in teaching and learning.

Students also learned about plans and methods for implementing digital transcripts; instructions on using the digital transcript software system; instructions on signing digital transcripts on electronic transcripts and practicing skills in using the digital transcript system and signing digital transcripts. At the same time, they discussed, exchanged and had their difficulties and problems solved during the pilot implementation of digital transcripts.

After the conference, schools will promote communication to raise awareness, create consensus on implementing digital transcripts, and organize training for teachers, especially homeroom teachers.

In Hai Duong, schools and principals have been granted official digital signatures. Teachers in many schools have also been equipped with digital signatures. Educational institutions have been equipped with management software integrated with industry databases developed by the Department of Education and Training; managers and teachers have been trained and proficient in using the professional skills; software has been upgraded and supplemented to pilot the digital student records.

The pilot implementation of digital report cards at the primary level aims to build and perfect the model and management process, using digital report cards as a basis for implementing a unified digital report card across the province. Thereby, preparing to connect with the information management system of the Ministry of Education and Training, unified nationwide. The Department of Education and Training of Hai Duong directed 100% of primary schools in the province to pilot from grades 1 to 4 in the 2023-2024 school year.

Deploying digital transcripts will become an important premise for digital transformation in each educational institution and the entire education sector, providing processes and procedures for managing and using digital transcripts to gradually replace paper transcripts, applying digital management processes right from each teacher to build an important database system, integrating and synchronizing with the national population database system in particular, and national digital transformation systems and platforms in general.
