Hai Duong establishes 9 more intergenerational self-help clubs

Since the beginning of the year, HelpAge Korea (HAK) has supported Hai Duong to establish 9 more intergenerational self-help clubs.

The new clubs were established in the villages: Dong Thon (Quoc Tuan commune), Bich Dong (Nam Chinh commune, Nam Sach district), Cau Lam (Pham Tran commune), Kenh Chieu (Thong Kenh commune, Gia Loc district), Dong Lac (Hong Duc commune), Van Diem (Hung Long commune, Ninh Giang district), Phu Tai 2 (Thanh Giang commune), Dao Lam (Doan Tung commune) and Le Binh residential area (Thanh Mien town, Thanh Mien district).

From April 9 to 13, HAK Organization coordinated with the Provincial Elderly Association to organize training courses to help club members improve their knowledge and skills in organizing activities and attracting members' participation; communication activities to improve knowledge; home care and self-help activities - community support; income-generating activities, health care; resource mobilization for clubs, model club activities, etc.

The project “Supporting the Disadvantaged Elderly through Replication of Intergenerational Self-Help Clubs in Vietnam” is funded by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) through the HAK Organization. In 2023, the project supported Hai Duong to establish 9 clubs.
