On the morning of December 8, the Provincial Association of the Elderly coordinated with the International Organization for Support of the Elderly in Vietnam to train on the establishment, management and operation of the Intergenerational Self-Help Club.
63 members of the Club's Board of Directors, representatives of the Elderly Association at all levels in the province, were informed about a number of contents such as: population aging, awareness of the elderly, introduction of the club model; establishment and management of the club, how to conduct club activities; organization and management of income generation and fundraising activities; health care activities and building a club's operation plan.
This is one of the contents of the Project "Supporting disadvantaged elderly people through expanding intergenerational self-help clubs in Vietnam" phase 2. Hai Duong and 5 other provinces, Hanoi, Hoa Binh, Hung Yen, Bac Ninh and Ninh Binh were selected to implement the project. The project will be implemented from December 2022 to November 2025, with the goal of improving the lives of disadvantaged people, especially the elderly.
The training course will take place until December 9.
