After a period of operation, local leaders assessed that the Intergenerational Self-Help Clubs have made a practical contribution to caring for the material and spiritual lives and promoting the role of the elderly. The clubs also have a role in connecting with the community when many young people participate in supporting, sharing, and improving the quality of life of the people.
Phase 2 of the project "Supporting disadvantaged elderly people through expanding intergenerational self-help clubs in Vietnam" funded by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and HAI is being implemented in a number of provinces and cities, including Hai Duong. The project aims to help Hai Duong expand 27 more intergenerational self-help clubs by the end of November 2025, bringing direct benefits to 1,485 people, mostly elderly and disadvantaged people.
