Hai Duong won second place in the athletics competition at the National High School Sports Tournament.

Leaders of the Department of Education and Training of Thua Thien-Hue province presented awards to sports delegations.

The tournament was organized by the Ministry of Education and Training in Thua Thien-Hue province.

Hai Duong athletes won 24 medals, including 3 gold medals, 7 silver medals and 14 bronze medals. This is also Hai Duong's best achievement at this tournament so far.

Nguyen Thi Phuong Anh, Le Loi Secondary School (Gia Loc) won the gold medal in the women's long jump event.

Participating in the athletics competition, Hai Duong delegation has 6 delegation leaders, coaches and 20 athletes competing in the following events: 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1,500m; men's and women's long jump; women's high jump; relay race and men's and women's shot put.

The 2023 National High School Sports Tournament will organize 7 competitions including: football, swimming, basketball, chess, badminton, athletics and Vovinam for students studying at educational institutions at 3 levels: primary, secondary and high school.

At this tournament, Hai Duong team participated in 3 events: athletics, Vovinam and chess. From May 20-26, in Dong Thap, Hai Duong team competed in Vovinam and won 1 silver medal, 1 bronze medal. Chess has no specific schedule yet.
