From May 15-17, Hai Duong Department of Education and Training organized a local education experiment for grade 5 in the 2018 general education program.

During 3 days, the Department of Education and Training organized 6 experimental teaching sessions related to the cultural, historical, artistic, economic contents of Hai Duong province at primary schools: Hai Tan (Hai Duong City), Duy Tan (Kinh Mon), Chu Van An (Chi Linh), Yet Kieu (Gia Loc), Thach Loi (Cam Giang).
Instead of learning local education in class, having lessons held directly at historical sites helps students feel closer, more lively, interesting and excited.
According to the assessment of the Department of Education and Training, the teachers assigned to teach the experiment have been very well prepared. The learning activities are designed by teachers in many different forms to exploit and convey the content of local educational materials to students; meeting the required capacity and qualities for 5th grade students according to the 2018 general education program and suitable for the teaching conditions of primary education institutions in the province.
After each experimental teaching session, the Department of Education and Training holds a meeting to evaluate, give comments and summarize opinions to report to the Head of the Local Educational Materials Compilation Board of Hai Duong province to complete the compilation content. Then, submit it to the Ministry of Education and Training for approval to print, issue and start integrating teaching from the 2024-2025 school year.
Up to now, Hai Duong province has published and put into local education teaching for grades 1, 2, 3, and 4 in all primary schools in the province.
The local education materials for grade 5 in Hai Duong province are compiled with 6 topics: People of my hometown; Economic activities in my hometown; An Phu, Kinh Chu, Nham Duong relic complex (Kinh Mon town); Quat temple festival (Gia Loc district); Traditional arts of my hometown; Civilized lifestyle in my hometown.
