Hai Duong fights "no forbidden zones, no exceptions" against criminal acts

Speaking at the conference, Colonel Bui Quang Binh, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Director of the Provincial Police Department, Deputy Head of the Provincial Steering Committee 138, requested that Party committees, authorities, departments, branches and unions from the province, district and commune levels clearly define the responsibilities of leaders in the work of preventing crimes, social evils and the movement of All people protecting national security. Implement methodical prevention, suitable to the practical situation in each locality, each area and specific subjects. The police force continues to proactively and actively detect, fight, and strictly and promptly handle crimes, without forbidden areas or exceptions.

The Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Steering Committee 138 emphasized the need to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of state management of security and order to serve the prevention and fight against all types of crimes. Review and overcome shortcomings in state management at all levels and sectors that criminals take advantage of to operate, especially in the fields of land management, finance, tax, mineral resources, public investment... Strengthen the potential of the specialized force for crime prevention and related agencies.

At the conference, delegates discussed measures to prevent, combat and denounce crimes, and build and develop the movement of All People to protect national security.

In the first 6 months of 2024, all levels, sectors, agencies and units in Hai Duong province have stepped up the work of preventing, combating and denouncing crimes. Hai Duong has consolidated and maintained the operation of 1,869 models of "Self-management, self-prevention, self-protection of security and order", maintained 97 models of "Skilled Civil Affairs" in the Public Security force; put the force participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level in the whole province into operation from July 1.

The number of social order crimes in the province in the first 6 months of 2024 decreased. The whole province arrested 103 subjects for gambling crimes; investigated and clarified 54/57 especially serious and very serious cases; investigated and clarified 139/151 serious and less serious cases. Detected and arrested 374 cases, 637 subjects for drugs (16 cases less than the same period in 2023); 300 cases, 362 subjects for economic, corruption, and position-related crimes (300 cases, 285 subjects less than the same period in 2023)... The overall investigation and discovery rate is 92.7%.
