Raising the level of the movement of the People to protect national security

On the afternoon of November 28, the Legal Committee of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Council supervised the Provincial Police on the situation of law enforcement according to Resolution No. 96/2019/QH14 dated November 27, 2019 of the National Assembly for the period 2020-2023 and reviewed the report on the situation and results of security and order work in 2023 presented at the 19th Session of the 17th Provincial People's Council.

Speaking at the supervision session, Comrade Nguyen Khac Toan, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council acknowledged and highly appreciated the results and achievements of the Provincial Police when implementing Resolution No. 96/2019/QH14 of the National Assembly, especially during the period of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic.

In the coming time, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council requested the Provincial Police to continue to effectively carry out the work of propaganda, dissemination and education of the law. The sector has effective solutions to prevent, combat and handle crimes, especially some new and complicated crimes such as economic, corruption, position and environmental crimes. Better coordinate between judicial agencies and authorities at all levels to improve the quality of the Steering Committees' activities. Actively consolidate, maintain, promote and enhance the movement of the People protecting national security.

The provincial police have strengthened the work of building the sector and building the force, and have solutions to prevent, stop, and combat violations within the department. The Party Committee and the Provincial Police Department's Board of Directors have urgently advised the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee on the implementation of programs and projects, especially the construction of the Provincial Police Headquarters and Detention Center.

Implementing Resolution No. 96/2019/QH14, in recent times, the Provincial Police have actively advised, innovated, and improved the quality of direction and leadership in performing assigned tasks. The Provincial Police have focused on building and developing the Party and all forces. The work of preventing, combating, suppressing, and pursuing criminals has been directed resolutely, achieving many important results. The crime situation has been controlled. The police force has eradicated many social evils, preventing the formation and existence of gangs, groups, and organized crimes in the style of "mafia".

The targets and tasks that the Provincial Police Department has implemented have all been achieved and exceeded the targets assigned by the National Assembly. 100% of cases with signs of crime have been accepted for investigation and verification. The rate of investigation and discovery of all types of crimes has reached over 75%. The whole province continues to consolidate and maintain the operation of 1,655 models of "Self-management, self-prevention, self-protection of security and order".

The Provincial Police is the last unit of the thematic supervision period to implement Resolution No. 96/2019/QH14 dated November 27, 2019, carried out by the Legal Committee of the Provincial People's Council.
