Hai Duong's team of scientific and technological intellectuals has made great contributions to the province's socio-economic development.

The scientific and technological intellectuals of Hai Duong have participated in developing technology and applying many advances to production, life, socio-economic development, contributing to environmental protection. This is the assessment given by the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Hai Duong province at the Workshop "summarizing 15 years of implementing Directive 42-CT/TW dated April 16, 2010 of the Politburo and proposing solutions to improve the operational efficiency of the Union of Science and Technology Associations system in the period of promoting industrialization and modernization of the country" held on March 14 at Sao Do University (Chi Linh City).

At the workshop, delegates spoke and highlighted the results of the activities of the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Hai Duong province in conjunction with Directive 42-CT/TW of the Politburo.

Accordingly, the political and social activities of the union have been increasingly affirmed, clearly demonstrated in gathering, uniting, and mobilizing the team of scientific and technological intellectuals; participating in contributing opinions to documents of Party Congresses at all levels, projects on science and technology, becoming a bridge between scientific intellectuals and Party committees and authorities, making important contributions to the achievements of socio-economic development of the province.

In scientific research activities, the system of associations has actively proposed and implemented thousands of topics, projects, plans, programs, and tasks from the grassroots to the state level with a total budget of over hundreds of billions of VND. The Hai Duong Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations is the first unit in the country to have a project to disseminate knowledge and coordinate with departments, branches, sectors, district-level People's Committees, and member associations to organize many scientific seminars, specialized information conferences, thousands of training courses, and transfer of technical advances... contributing to the application of scientific and technical advances in production and life.

Effectively implement the Con Son Hai Duong Science and Technology Award, the Technical Innovation Contest, the Youth and Children's Innovation Contest, respond to and participate in the Vietnam Science and Technology Award... to promote the movement of the whole people advancing into science and technology. At the same time, discover, help, encourage and foster creative talents among scientific and technological intellectuals and among the people and promote activities to honor intellectuals and creative labor talents.

Promoting the achieved results, in the coming time, the Union of Science and Technology Associations will continue to mobilize and gather scientific and technological intellectuals. Strengthen propaganda, dissemination, and raise awareness of the position and role of the Union of Associations; review, supplement, and institutionalize the Party's policies on the Union of Associations; continue to consolidate, improve, and develop the Union organization. At the same time, promote innovation in the content and methods of operation of the Union of Associations.
