Gia Loc increases nearly 1,100 hectares of agricultural land after adjusting regional planning

Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee has just approved the adjustment of the construction planning of Gia Loc district to 2030, with a vision to 2050 (second adjustment).

Accordingly, Gia Loc is identified as a part of the central region of the province; a central comprehensive urban service area. This is the southern gateway of Hai Duong city, a transit hub, and a socio-economic exchange hub of the province.

To match the future development orientation, the province adjusted the urban development orientation of Gia Loc until 2030. Specifically, reducing from 10 urban areas to 3 urban areas, including upgrading Gia Loc town according to the criteria of a type IV urban area, as a district-level administrative center, a district-level comprehensive center for economy, finance, and culture. Orientation of urban planning and classification according to the criteria of type V urban areas for 2 communes of Yet Kieu and Quang Duc.

Regarding the orientation of population development, adjust and reduce the new planning area of urban development areas and rural residential areas in the communes of Yet Kieu, Thong Nhat, Gia Phuc, Toan Thang, Hoang Dieu, Doan Thuong, Thong Kenh, Quang Duc. New planning of service residential areas serving social housing and workers' housing east of the North-South axis, with a scale of about 10 hectares.

Adjust Gia Loc II High School to a new location, east of Highway 37 bypass, with an area of about 5 hectares; expand Doan Thuong High School according to development needs. Adjust and reduce the medical land use planning in Yet Kieu, Hong Hung, and Quang Duc communes.

Reduce the planned land area of Gia Loc III industrial park from 350 hectares to about 130 hectares; reduce the planned land area for industrial production development in Gia Tien and Gia Phuc communes.

Increase about 1,094 hectares of agricultural land compared to the previously approved planning, the total agricultural land area after adjustment is about 5,069 hectares.

In the fields of transportation, energy supply, waste, cemetery..., Gia Loc is supplemented with planning for the western route of Gia Loc III industrial park to Hai Duong city's belt road II; the planning of Gia Loc 5 110 kV transformer station in Gia Phuc commune is removed; the location of the 500 kV transformer station is adjusted from Hoang Dieu industrial cluster to Nhat Quang commune; construction waste collection site is added in Le Loi commune...

This planning adjustment is to conform to the general planning of the province, promoting the advantages and strengths of Gia Loc district in socio-economic development.
