The 2024 Kim Thanh District (Hai Duong) Youth and Children's Chess Tournament has the largest number of participants ever.
On May 26, Kim Thanh district organized the 2024 Youth and Children's Chess Tournament. Nearly 500 players from 30 units and clubs in the district competed in 4 age groups: 7 years old and under, 8-9 years old, 10-11 years old and 12-13 years old. Each age group was divided into male and female categories. Players competed in 7 rounds of Swiss system, each round lasting 20 minutes. TournamentKim Thanh district's 2024 youth and children's chess tournament recorded the largest number of participants ever.
After a day of competition, in the 7-year-old group, players Dong Vu Minh Khoi (male, Ngu Phuc commune) and Bui Phuong Thao (female, Lai Vu commune) won gold medals. In the 8-9-year-old group, players Nguyen Cong Duan (male) and Nguyen Thu Huyen (female, both from Kim Anh commune) won gold medals. In the 10-11-year-old group, players Dang Tuan Viet (male, Kim Tan commune) and Bao Chau (female, Kim Anh commune) won gold medals. In the 12-13-year-old group, players Nguyen Gia Long (male, Kim Xuyen commune) and Do Hong Phuc An (female, Phu Thai town) won gold medals.
