Vietnamese users can order the Galaxy S25 after the global launch but will have to wait until after Tet to receive the device.
According to some retail systems, Samsung wants to bring its most high-end phone model of the year to Vietnam before Tet, but "the preparation time is too short, there are many risks in the import process as well as communication". The company is forced to choose a safe option even though before Tet is the best sales period for mobile phone brands.
According toFNNews,Samsung will announce the Galaxy S25 globally on January 22, with pre-orders two days later and official sales starting February 4 in select markets like the US and South Korea.
The Vietnamese market is likely to launch at the same time. The systems said they will open the pre-order program, but the delivery of the device after Tet is expected to be 4-7 days later than the international market. Thus, the device will reach users later than the Galaxy S24, which was launched on January 17, 2024 and delivered on January 30, 2024.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi and Oppo have both launched their important phone models in time for the year-end shopping season, the Redmi Note 14 series and Reno 13 series respectively.
The Galaxy S25 trio is expected to continue to be Samsung's flagship smartphone in Vietnam in the first half of 2025. Previously, the Galaxy S24 contributed the highest sales and revenue in 2024 for the Korean company in the context of the Galaxy Z foldable phone line not meeting expectations.
Some previously leaked information shows that the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus and S25 Ultra trio will return to the rounded four-corner design instead of the square, angular design on the S24 Ultra. With this change, technology sites commented that Samsung is choosing a safe and consistent design language across the entire product line, similar to Apple.
The new thing could be the appearance of the Galaxy S25 Slim. The product is expected to be thinner than the 7.6 mm of the Galaxy S24, but the configuration is unknown. Korean media said the device will be launched with the Galaxy S25, but the pageET Newssaid the product could launch in the second quarter of 2025.
Meanwhile, the most powerful model Galaxy S25 Ultra has 16 GB of RAM, instead of 12 GB as at present. This parameter is considered important, when combined with the new Snapdragon chip, it will help run local AI tasks faster and smoother.
The Korean company is also expected to introduce a virtual reality headset model to compete with Apple Vision Pro.
