Vo Communal House in Vo Luong Village, Thong Nhat Commune (Gia Loc, Hai Duong) is currently degraded in many areas. If not repaired, it will affect the architecture and structure of the communal house.
The wall behind the communal house was peeling and cracked. The roof was sagging and many tiles were broken, so when it rained, water leaked into the communal house.
Some of the roof tiles were also damaged and falling down. The doors were termite infested and dilapidated.
Vo Temple was ranked as a national historical relic in 1998, worshiping the famous general Pham A Nau (commonly called Pham A Nau by the people). According to documents kept at the Provincial Museum, Pham A Nau, also known as General Minh Tam, was from Ha Dong and had great contributions in supporting the Ly Dynasty.
When Imperial Concubine Y Lan went on an inspection tour, he was the one who led the imperial guards to escort her, ensuring her safety. When Imperial Concubine Y Lan stopped her boat to rest in the area of today's Duoi Temple, he stationed troops to protect her on the outer perimeter in Vo Luong village. The people later built a temple to worship him where he was stationed. When he died, the royal court honored him as a tutelary god and the people in the village contributed their efforts and money to build a temple to worship him.
