Hai Duong needs nearly 199 billion VND to restore a relic classified as seriously degraded.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Hai Duong currently has 124 relics ranked from special national level to provincial level that have seriously degraded and need to be restored and embellished with a total cost of nearly 199 billion VND.

Nham Duong Pagoda, part of the special national relic complex of An Phu - Kinh Chu - Nham Duong (Kinh Mon), needs to be renovated in terms of stone paving of the porch, sidewalk and temple yard, steps of the ancestral house, paving of Tinh Niem cave, and renovation of public toilets.

In the 2024-2025 period, 70 relics need to be restored with a total cost of over 112.3 billion VND. In the 2026-2030 period, 57 relics need to be restored with a total cost of nearly 86.5 billion VND. Of which, 3 relics including Dong Ngo Pagoda, Nhi Chau Communal House (Hai Duong City) and Lai Cau Temple (Gia Loc) need to be restored in both periods.

Of these, Gia Loc district has 23 relics in need of repair, the most in the province with a total cost of over 14.6 billion VND; Thanh Mien district has 14 relics in need of repair; Kinh Mon town has 13 relics...

Suot Temple in Hai Duong City is also in need of renovation and repair.

Most of the monuments were built a long time ago and are now seriously degraded. If not repaired promptly, it will affect the architecture of the building as well as the worship activities of the people.
