Dong Cao Pagoda (Ninh Giang) was ranked as a national monument since 1974, but is seriously degraded.

The national historical relic Dong Cao Pagoda in Dong Xuyen Commune, Ninh Giang District (Hai Duong) has seriously degraded and needs investment and restoration.

The high Eastern Pagoda pillars are termite-infested and dilapidated.

Many items of Dong Cao pagoda have seriously degraded such as the system of pillars, beams, horizontal beams, and levers... are rotten and damaged. The walls are degraded, the brick floors are collapsed and broken. The system of worship statues and worship objects have peeling gilded paint and are termite-eaten.

Especially after storm No. 3, the temple's items were greatly affected, not ensuring safety for people and tourists coming to visit and worship.

Dong Cao Pagoda was built during the Ly Dynasty and was restored many times during the Le and Nguyen Dynasties. The pagoda still retains many valuable wooden carvings and worship objects that need to be preserved and maintained. The pagoda was ranked as a national monument on March 13, 1974.
