Currently, the whole province needs to add more than 288.7 billion VND to purchase teaching equipment to meet the requirements of the new general education program.
The Department of Finance has just proposed that the Provincial People's Committee report to the Ministry of Finance to supplement the 2022 balance to support the province in implementing the plan to purchase teaching equipment to meet the requirements of the new general education program in 2021.
According to the Department of Finance, the province currently needs to add more than 288.7 billion VND to purchase teaching equipment to meet the requirements of the new general education program. Specifically, the budget for purchasing minimum teaching equipment for grade 2 is nearly 97.7 billion VND; minimum teaching equipment for grade 6 is more than 191 billion VND.
According to Circular No. 61/2021/TT-BTC dated July 26, 2021 of the Ministry of Finance on guidelines for the development of the 2022 state budget estimate and the 2022-2025 budget financial plan, localities use all lottery revenue for development investment, with priority given to the education sector. However, the province's estimated lottery revenue in 2022 is only VND 28 billion. Thus, the amount of money to purchase teaching equipment to meet the requirements of the new general education program is still short of more than VND 260.7 billion.
