The Tax Department has researched and built the function 'Suggested personal income tax finalization declaration' on the tax industry's e-Tax applications.
According to information from the Ministry of Finance on the afternoon of March 4, to support taxpayers and tax authorities when resolving tax refunds according to the automatic personal income tax (PIT) refund process, the Tax Department has researched and developed the function "Suggested PIT finalization declaration" on the Tax sector's electronic tax applications (eTax Mobile application, Electronic Tax application for individuals (Icanhan).
Accordingly, from the declaration database of income-paying organizations, tax registration data, overview data on tax obligations and debts of taxpayers nationwide, the information technology system will automatically synthesize data and pre-fill the indicators on the taxpayer's personal income tax finalization declaration.
Taxpayers use the eTax Mobile application and the iCanhan application of the Tax Department to check information on the suggested Personal Income Tax Finalization Declaration automatically generated by the system.
The data on the function "Suggested personal income tax finalization declaration" is aggregated data, processed by the Tax industry's IT system to make information transparent, thereby supporting taxpayers to avoid errors when declaring, finalizing and refunding personal income tax.
Based on the data provided by the system and used by taxpayers, tax authorities can reduce the steps of manual comparison and review of taxpayers' personal income tax refund dossiers.
In case the taxpayer edits data on the "Suggested personal income tax finalization declaration" function, the taxpayer edits the information in the corresponding indicators, adds the reason for the difference and submits the finalization dossier with supporting documents so that the Tax authority has a basis to continue processing the tax refund for the taxpayer.
Therefore, the Tax Department encourages taxpayers to install and use the "Suggested Personal Income Tax Finalization Declaration" function on e-Tax applications to submit personal income tax finalization and refund dossiers. To ensure that data is fully and accurately compiled, the Tax Department recommends that income-paying organizations declare personal income tax finalization and pay taxes within the time limit prescribed in the Law on Tax Administration, declare and pay accurately according to the actual income payment to individuals and not use other individuals' information to declare and pay when no income payment has occurred to that individual.
In the coming time, when the application of information technology is upgraded to apply the automatic personal income tax refund process, the Tax Department will continue to monitor and grasp the feedback information of taxpayers to promptly complete the database system and application system.
