Hai Duong provincial leaders wish to strengthen educational cooperation with many high schools and universities of the Russian Federation.
On the afternoon of December 11, Mr. Nguyen Minh Hung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, received and worked with a delegation of Russian universities visiting and working in Vietnam.
The Russian delegation was led by Mr. Vladimir Murashkin, First Secretary of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Vietnam, Chief Representative of the Russian Federal Cooperation Agency in Vietnam, Director of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Hanoi, along with representatives from many leading Russian universities.
At the reception and working session, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Hung expressed his joy and welcomed the delegation of Russian universities to visit and work in Hai Duong province.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee gave an overview of the natural, socio-economic conditions; potential, strengths and development results of the province, especially emphasizing the historical tradition of mandarin examinations and outstanding education quality of Hai Duong.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that Russia's leading universities have provided Hai Duong province with a lot of useful information in the field of education and training. Emphasizing that Hai Duong province always pays special attention to human resources to realize the province's goals, including striving to make Hai Duong a modern industrial province by 2030, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee suggested that the Russian delegation pay attention to and study the organization of cooperation, exchange and study programs between high schools and universities of Hai Duong and high schools and universities of Russia, especially looking forward to cooperation with Hai Duong University under the province.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hopes that the two sides will organize Russian language courses directly or online for students of high schools in Hai Duong province, especially students majoring in Russian; organize short-term courses in Russia so that excellent Russian students have the opportunity to exchange, learn or participate in student exchange programs.
Support Russian teaching materials, textbooks and reference books for Russian students and teachers; support retraining of Russian teachers in Hai Duong, support online courses with Russian education experts, help Russian teachers improve teaching quality. These are important bridges to expand cooperation.
Assessing that the number of Hai Duong students receiving scholarships from leading Russian universities is still modest, comrade Nguyen Minh Hung hopes that the delegation will pay more attention to introducing scholarship programs from Russian universities and colleges for students in Hai Duong.
Create conditions for cadres, civil servants and public employees to participate in studying, exchanging and sharing knowledge under cooperation programs with Russia. At the same time, assign the Department of Education and Training and the Department of Home Affairs of Hai Duong to be the focal points for implementation.
At the meeting, Mr. Vladimir Murashkin, First Secretary of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Vietnam, sincerely thanked the leaders of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee and relevant units for their warm welcome. Mr. Vladimir Murashkin affirmed that Russian universities are ready to support Hai Duong province in training cadres, experts, teachers, students in many fields; wish to cooperate extensively in many fields with Hai Duong province; believe that the two sides will have effective cooperation in education and training in the coming time to further strengthen the Vietnam - Russia relationship.
At the meeting, the two sides discussed the Government scholarship quota in Russia, programs, policies, and study opportunities in Russia for civil servants, public employees, and students of Hai Duong province; information about some universities in Russia; and discussed cooperation possibilities in the field of education...
