Hanoi National University of Education announced the answers to 8 subjects of the 2023 competency assessment exam

After the competency assessment exam ended, Hanoi National University of Education announced the official exam questions and answers for all subjects.

With 8 subjects, 2023 is the second time Hanoi National University of Education has organized a competency assessment exam. The number of candidates taking the entrance exam this year is about 4,667 from many provinces and cities, double that of 2022.

Of these, 2,912 candidates took the Math exam; 2,876 candidates took the Literature exam; 2,248 candidates took the English exam; 902 candidates took the Physics exam; 832 candidates took the Chemistry exam; 88 candidates took the Biology exam; 1,010 candidates took the History exam; and 289 candidates took the Geography exam.

Early next June, Hanoi Pedagogical University will announce the results of the competency assessment exam.

This year's school assessment test combines multiple choice and essay questions. The essay section helps the school assess the candidate's ability to express himself in a way that others can understand.

There are 7 subjects with 70% multiple choice questions and 30% essay questions. The Literature exam has 30% multiple choice questions and 70% essay questions.

According to Professor Nguyen Van Minh, Principal of Hanoi National University of Education, the school will announce the results of the competency assessment exam in early June. Accordingly, the unit will use the exam marking team consisting of lecturers from 23 training departments and teachers from 3 affiliated high schools.

The team of examiners has many years of experience in marking excellent student exams at all levels, high school graduation exams, university entrance exams and assessing English and Vietnamese proficiency. Many of them have participated in marking international excellent student exams (Math, Biology, Chemistry, Physics Olympiads).

This year’s exam has few recognition questions, mainly at the comprehension, application and high application levels. Many candidates assessed that the exam was more difficult than the high school graduation exam. However, the questions are from the current general education program, taught in high schools according to the guidance of the Ministry of Education and Training.

To ensure a fair and objective examination process, the examination committee randomly mixed the order of the multiple choice questions as well as the order of the options (A, B, C, D), creating 4 test codes/test. The content of the multiple choice questions and the corresponding correct answers are the same for all test codes. The essay questions are always at the end of the test and are the same for all test codes.

All candidates taking the Hanoi National University of Education's competency assessment exam can register up to two wishes to enter the school, independent of the method of consideration by high school graduation exam scores, direct consideration or combination.

The exam results were recognized by 8 universities including: Hanoi National University of Education; Ho Chi Minh City National University of Education; Hue University of Education; Da Nang University of Education; Thai Nguyen University of Education; Vinh University; Hanoi National University of Education 2; Quy Nhon University.
