Hanoi National University of Education announced 5 admission methods

The 5 admission methods in 2024 of Hanoi National University of Education include: Admission based on the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam, direct admission, consideration of high school transcripts, entrance exam (aptitude test, capacity assessment test), combination of entrance exam and admission.

In which all school admission methods require conditions on conduct and high school academic performance of candidates.

Method 1:Use the 2024 high school graduation exam results. The condition is that the candidate has graduated from high school and has good conduct in all 6 semesters of high school.

Method 2: Direct admission for candidates who are students participating in excellent student teams; students of specialized high schools (or high schools under Hanoi Pedagogical University, Ho Chi Minh City Pedagogical University), students with international foreign language and computer science certificates (abbreviated as XTT2).

Candidates can only register for one direct admission wish under XTT2.

The conditions for admission are that candidates must have graduated from high school in 2024, have good conduct in all 6 semesters, have good academic performance in all 3 years of high school, and must satisfy one of the following conditions:

- Candidates are students of provincial/municipal teams or teams of specialized high schools affiliated with universities participating in the national excellent student exam.

- Candidates are students of specialized high schools (or high schools under Hanoi National University of Education, Ho Chi Minh City National University of Education) who won first, second, third prizes in provincial/city/university-level excellent student competitions at high school level.

- Candidates are students of specialized high schools or high schools affiliated with Hanoi National University of Education and Ho Chi Minh City National University of Education.

- Candidates are students from other high schools who won first, second, or third prizes in provincial/municipal high school competitions for excellent students or have international foreign language certificates: IELTS or TOEFL iBT or TOEIC; DELF or TCF; HSK and HSKK; MOS international computer certificate (valid for 2 years from May 19, 2024).

The school notes that candidates in the first 3 groups with international English certificates: IELTS or TOEFL iBT (valid for 2 years as of May 19, 2024) will be considered for priority points when applying for admission under method 2 to the majors of mathematics pedagogy (teaching mathematics in English), English pedagogy and English language; priority points (on a 30-point scale).

Method 3: Consider high school transcripts. Admission requirements for teacher training programs, candidates must be high school graduates in 2024 with good conduct in all 6 semesters of high school and good academic performance in 3 years.

For the French language education major, if the candidate is a bilingual French student, the academic requirement is to have completed grade 12 with honors; for the technology education major, the academic requirement is to have completed grade 12 with honors.

For other majors (other than pedagogy): Candidates are high school graduates in 2024 with good conduct in all 6 semesters and good academic performance in 3 years of high school.

Method 4:Admission combines aptitude test scores with academic transcript scores, graduation exam scores or capacity assessment exams organized by the school.

This method applies to candidates applying for music education, art education, physical education, preschool education and preschool education - English education.

The general condition is that candidates have good conduct or better.

Method 5:Based on the results of the competency assessment test organized by Hanoi Pedagogical University or Ho Chi Minh City Pedagogical University, combined with the academic transcript or aptitude test score (for preschool education or preschool education - English pedagogy).

Candidates applying for admission this way must have good conduct in all 6 semesters of high school and an average score of 6.5 or higher for 5 semesters (except semester II of grade 12).

In 2023, the admission score to Hanoi National University of Education based on high school graduation exam results ranges from 18.3 to 28.4. History pedagogy has the highest admission score. With the method of considering academic records, the admission score ranges from 20.5 to 29.8 points.

Hanoi Pedagogical University notes that pedagogical majors do not recruit candidates with deformities, disabilities, speech impediments, or stuttering.

Candidates who are admitted to the majors of computer science and biology after enrolling can register for the school to consider admission to the majors of computer science and biology (teaching computer science in English) and biology (teaching biology in English), respectively, if they wish.

Candidates for the national defense and security education sector must be in good health, have nearsightedness or farsightedness of no more than 3 degrees, have no congenital defects, and have no offensive tattoos. Men must be 1.60m or taller, women must be 1.55m or taller.
