Hanoi National University of Education has just announced its plan for full-time university admissions in 2025. Compared to last year, the school has eliminated the admission method based on high school transcripts.
Accordingly, the general admission criteria and conditions for all admission methods and all training majors are that candidates have been recognized as high school graduates and have training results (conduct) of all 6 semesters of high school with a good grade or higher.
For pedagogical majors, the admission requirement is that candidates must have academic results in all 3 years of high school ranked at good or higher or a high school graduation score of 8 or higher, except for special majors (physical education, music pedagogy, fine arts pedagogy: academic results in all 3 years of high school ranked at fair or higher or a high school graduation score of 6.5 or higher).

Method 1 - Admission based on high school graduation exam scores in 2025
- Subjects and conditions for admission
In addition to satisfying the general conditions, candidates applying for admission under method 1 must take the 2025 high school graduation exam with subjects corresponding to the admission combination under method 1 in the industry and training program they wish to study.
For the majors of preschool education, physical education, music pedagogy, and fine arts pedagogy, candidates must also take the 2025 Aptitude Test organized by Hanoi Pedagogical University to obtain the aptitude test score for admission combined with the high school graduation exam score.
- Admission principles
Admission scores are determined according to the combination of admission method 1 for each training major, converted to a 30-point scale and calculated with priority points according to region and policy subjects according to the Admission Regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
The school will announce the admission score threshold according to method 1 after the ministry announces the threshold to ensure input quality for teacher training majors.
Method 2 - Direct admission, priority given to candidates with outstanding abilities and achievements
- Direct admission subjects
+ Direct admission subject 1: The school directly admits candidates who are subject to direct admission according to Clause 1, Clause 2 - Article 8 of the Admission Regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
+ Direct admission 2: The school stipulates additional conditions for priority admission of candidates with outstanding abilities and achievements based on Clause 5, Article 8, Admission Regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the entrance requirements of each training program. Direct admission 2 has a lower priority level than direct admission 1.
- Priority admission conditions
In addition to satisfying the general conditions, candidates applying for admission under method 2 - direct admission 2 must graduate from high school in 2025, have good training results (conduct) for all 6 semesters of high school, have good learning results (academic performance) for all 3 years of high school and must satisfy one of the following conditions:
+ Candidates are students of provincial/municipal teams (under central authority) or teams of specialized high schools affiliated with universities participating in the national high school excellent student selection exam or the national science and technology research competition (NCKHKT) for high school students; (priority order 1 for direct admission 2).
+ Candidates are students of specialized high schools (or high schools under Hanoi National University of Education, Ho Chi Minh City National University of Education) (completed 3 years of grades 10, 11, 12) who won first, second, third prizes in competitions for excellent high school students (for grade 12 students) or scientific research competitions (for high school students) at the provincial/municipal (centrally affiliated)/university level; (priority order 2 of direct admission 2).
+ Candidates are students of specialized high schools or high schools affiliated with Hanoi National University of Education, Ho Chi Minh City National University of Education (complete 3 years of grades 10, 11, 12); (priority order 3 of direct admission 2).
+ Candidates are students from other high schools who won First, Second, Third prizes in competitions for excellent high school students (for 12th graders)/Science and Technology Research Competitions (for high school students) at the provincial/municipal (centrally affiliated)/university levels or candidates with international language certificates: IELTS/TOEFL iBT/TOEIC; DELF/TCF; HSK and HSKK; MOS international IT certificate (for all 3 skills Word, Excel, PowerPoint); the date of issue of the certificate is no more than 2 years from May 19, 2025; (priority order 4 of direct admission 2).
Method 3 - Admission based on the 2025 SPT Competency Assessment test scores organized by Hanoi National University of Education
- Subjects and conditions for admission
In addition to satisfying the general conditions, candidates applying for admission under method 3 to Hanoi National University of Education must take the 2025 SPT exam with subjects (math, literature, English, physics, chemistry, biology, history, geography) corresponding to the admission combination under method 3 to the major and training program they wish to study.
Candidates who have taken the Specialized Competency Assessment Test organized by Ho Chi Minh City University of Education before May 19, 2025 and did not take the SPT exam can register to use the Specialized Competency Assessment test results for admission to Hanoi University of Education according to method 3.
