Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Trieu The Hung promotes trade and investment in New Zealand

The delegation worked with the Auckland Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Auckland CCI); Pacific Silk Road Limited and visited the production and processing model, learning from the experience of preservation technology of Turner Group.

Speaking at the places visited, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Trieu The Hung affirmed that this is an important and practical activity to strongly promote trade connection, attract investment, contributing to enhancing the relationship between Vietnam in general, Hai Duong province in particular with organizations and individuals in New Zealand.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Trieu The Hung also informed about the strengths of Hai Duong province such as geographical location, human resources, and a synchronous and modern infrastructure system. Hai Duong currently has 24 industrial parks and 61 industrial clusters with a total industrial land area of ​​nearly 5,600 hectares. Of which, the industrial and service land area that can be leased from the end of 2024 is over 1,000 hectares, ensuring to meet the land use needs of investors coming to Hai Duong.

The province also applies many attractive incentive policies for foreign investors, including: exemption and reduction of corporate income tax, import and export tax, land use fees; support for investment in infrastructure construction; support for human resource training...

Currently, Hai Duong is looking to attract investment in the fields of processing and manufacturing industry; electricity and electronics industry; chemical industry; construction materials production; high-tech agriculture; eco-tourism; high-quality services; logistics for the region, area and internationally.

Besides, Hai Duong also has many potential export products such as industrial products, garments, electronic components...; agricultural products such as lychees, onions, garlic, carrots, vegetables and fruits and handicraft products such as wooden furniture, embroidery... are very diverse and abundant, can meet export standards well.

Vietnam and New Zealand are participating in new generation free trade agreements such as the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP); RCEP Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement... This is a favorable foundation for developing investment, trade, import and export activities between enterprises of each country, including Hai Duong province.

Hai Duong province commits to always support investors to connect and learn about the investment environment, and find partners. Create favorable conditions for investors to cooperate in investment and business with each other, cooperate with the government and workers. The province will always accompany investors throughout the process of learning about investment opportunities and throughout the process of production and business in the province.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Trieu The Hung hopes that Auckland CCI will be a bridge for Auckland businesses to research and explore cooperation opportunities with Hai Duong province in investment, trade, and sharing experiences in modern agricultural development management.

Talking to representatives of Kalandra Education Organization, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Trieu The Hung informed that Hai Duong currently has mainly public educational institutions. Therefore, a part of students tend to seek study opportunities in other provinces or abroad. In the Hai Duong Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, Hai Duong needs 7-10 inter-level schools and hopes to have international investment cooperation. In addition to general education, Hai Duong hopes to attract foreign resources to invest in building vocational schools, especially schools training in occupations related to high-tech agriculture...

Knowing that Kalandra Education Organization is preparing to visit Vietnam to discuss cooperation opportunities in the field of education in the coming time, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Trieu The Hung respectfully invited representatives of Kalandra Education Organization to Hai Duong.

At the meeting, Auckland CCI representatives shared experiences in developing New Zealand's economic development model, typically the cooperative economy in agriculture, and expressed their readiness for long-term cooperation with Hai Duong province.

Representatives of New Zealand businesses shared New Zealand's experience in economic development and education development, especially cooperative economy, high-tech agricultural development, preservation and export of agricultural products to markets around the world.
