According to the Provincial Statistics Office, Hai Duong's average consumer price index (CPI) in 2023 increased by 4.62% compared to the average in 2022, 1.37% higher than the average increase of the whole country.
Some of the reasons for the CPI increase in 2023 are that the housing, electricity, water, fuel and construction materials group increased by 23.5% due to the increase in cement and sand prices following the input material prices and high housing rental prices.
In addition, Vietnam Electricity Group has adjusted the average retail electricity price twice in May and November. The group of other goods and services increased by 5.09% mainly because from July 2023, health insurance services will increase according to the new basic salary. The group of beverages and tobacco increased by 2.68%. The group of medicines and medical services increased by 2.23% because the price of medical services will be adjusted according to Circular No. 22/2023/TT-BYT of the Ministry of Health from November 17, 2023.
