Warning of fraud in recruiting workers to Australia for agricultural work

According to information from the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the name of the official enterprise participating in the program to send workers to Australia to work in agriculture has not been announced yet, so workers need to be vigilant against labor recruitment scams.

According to information from the professional staff of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Hai Duong, there are currently many workers contacting to ask about the program of recruiting workers to Australia to work in agriculture. Many people said they have information that there are businesses and units that are recruiting.

Workers need to understand this recruitment program to avoid being scammed. This is the PALM program (the Pacific Australia Labor Mobility) signed by the Vietnamese Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and the Australian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Accordingly, the two sides agreed to select an implementing unit to send 1,000 Vietnamese workers to work in the agricultural sector in Australia, starting in 2024.

Currently, according to the program implementation plan, Vietnam and Australia have agreed to sign a contract to select up to 6 businesses to participate in sending Vietnamese people to work in Australia. However, the list of businesses has not been announced yet.

To prevent workers from being scammed about the program to go to Australia to work in the agricultural sector, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs has sent an official dispatch to the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to propagate to the people.

At this point, workers who want to go to Australia to work under the above program need to closely follow official announcements from the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to avoid being lured and scammed into property appropriation.
