According to the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, in the first 7 months of 2024, Hai Duong had 5,713 workers going abroad to work under contracts, exceeding 27% of the year's target (the plan for the whole year of 2024 is to send 4,500 people to work abroad under contracts).
Among the workers going abroad to work, 3,051 people went to Taiwan (China), 2,163 people went to Japan, 212 people went to Korea, and the rest went to other markets.
In recent years, the number of Hai Duong workers going to Japan to work has always been large. However, recently, due to the continuous depreciation of the Japanese Yen, the number of Hai Duong people choosing to go to this market has decreased compared to before.
In recent times, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Hai Duong has actively coordinated with the Department of Overseas Labor Management, the Overseas Labor Center (Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs), and People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to implement programs to send Vietnamese workers to work abroad under contracts.
