Arguing, principal in Quang Binh beat vice principal to the point of hospitalization

On the morning of April 8, Mr. Dang Dai Tinh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Le Thuy district (Quang Binh), confirmed that he had directed relevant agencies to handle the case of a principal beating a vice principal that occurred in Ngu Thuy Bac commune of this district.

"I have assigned the district education department to investigate. This agency has asked two people directly involved in the incident to report the entire incident. This will serve as a basis for determining who is right and who is wrong for handling. The district police have also begun investigating," Mr. Tinh said.

Previously, from the evening of April 7, on social networks in Quang Binh, information spread rapidly that the principal beat the vice principal to the point of hospitalization.

Mr. Tinh said that both of these people are the principal and vice principal of Ngu Thuy Bac Primary School. The principal is Mr. Phan Anh Tuan and the vice principal is Mr. Le Duc Huan.

After an argument between the two on the afternoon of April 6, Mr. Tuan attacked and punched Mr. Huan. Mr. Huan suffered many injuries to his face and was later admitted to Le Thuy District General Hospital for treatment.

It is known that Mr. Huan was previously the principal of a school in Loc Thuy commune, Le Thuy district. Later, due to violations, Mr. Huan was demoted to vice principal and transferred to be the vice principal of Ngu Thuy Bac Primary School.

Mr. Huan's health is currently stable.

"Regardless of the reason, the educational environment, especially school leaders, cannot use their hands and feet against each other like that," Mr. Tinh affirmed.
