Arrest of subject transporting large quantity of synthetic drugs

At around 10:15 p.m. on July 11, a working group of the Drug and Crime Prevention Department, Dien Bien Provincial Border Guard and Tay Trang International Border Gate Border Guard Station organized an ambush on the inter-commune road in Team 3, Tan Ngam village, Nua Ngam commune, Dien Bien district, and discovered a suspicious male subject traveling on a motorbike.

The task force signaled the subject to stop for inspection, but he did not comply and accelerated to flee. The task force immediately chased, restrained and arrested him. At the scene, the task force discovered in the sack tied behind the motorbike seat 20 rectangular packages, inside were blue nylon packages containing pink tablets marked WY, suspected to be synthetic drugs, the quantity was 112,000 tablets.

During the investigation, the subject confessed that he was Giang A Co (born in 1996, residing in Trung Sua village, Keo Lom commune, Dien Bien Dong district, Dien Bien province). Giang A Co was hired to transport the above drugs for an unidentified man from the border area of ​​Na Tong commune to the center of Nua Ngam commune, Dien Bien district, when someone contacted him to receive them. Taking advantage of the rain and darkness, Co put the drugs in a sack tied to the motorbike seat and delivered them, but was discovered and arrested by the Border Guard.

The incident is being further investigated and clarified by the Dien Bien Provincial Border Guard.
