Arrested 4 subjects transporting 179 kg of synthetic drugs through Noi Bai airport

On the morning of July 1, the Drug Control and Prevention Team (Hanoi Customs Department) said that it had just coordinated with functional forces to destroy a drug trafficking case from Germany to Vietnam.

Specifically, through patrolling, controlling, grasping the situation, collected information sources and practical experience in the fight against drugs, Hanoi Customs Department received information that a large amount of drugs were transported from Germany to Vietnam.

The leader of the Drug Control Team proposed the leader of the Hanoi Customs Department to establish Project HP 524 chaired by the Hanoi Customs Department in coordination with PC 04 (Hanoi City Police) and the North Hanoi Customs Branch to combat drug crimes illegally transported from Germany to Vietnam, via Noi Bai International Airport.

On June 4, the task force arrested 4 subjects and seized about 179kg of synthetic drug MDMA.

HP524 is a typical and outstanding project with the largest amount of drugs seized ever by air.

The leader of the Drug Control Team said that in 2024, implementing drug prevention and control work and the drug prevention action month, based on the local situation, professional warnings, and directions from leaders at all levels, the Hanoi Customs Department has developed and issued a synchronous plan and measures to implement the drug prevention and control work and the drug prevention action month plan.

At the same time, closely coordinate with specialized forces in charge of drug prevention and control to combat and destroy drug trafficking routes by air.
