Hung Yen Newspaper won the 20th Northern Provinces and Cities Party Newspaper Table Tennis Tournament

On August 18, the 20th Northern Provinces and Cities Party Newspaper Table Tennis Tournament 2024, hosted by Hung Yen Newspaper, closed at Hung Yen City Sports Stadium.

After 2 days, nearly 100 athletes representing 12 Party newspaper agencies of the Northern provinces and cities competed enthusiastically with many dramatic and fierce matches in 12 events and nearly 200 matches, creating an attractive tournament.

In the end, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize to Hung Yen Newspaper, the second and third prizes to Nhan Dan Newspaper and Thai Nguyen Newspaper, respectively. Medals were also awarded to athletes with excellent performance in 12 competitions, including: Men's singles, men's doubles, men's team, men's singles (50 years old and above), men's singles (under 50 years old), women's singles (45 years old and above), women's singles (under 45 years old), men's doubles (50 years old and above), men's doubles (under 50 years old), women's doubles, mixed doubles (under 45 years old) and mixed doubles (over 45 years old).

At this tournament, Hai Duong Newspaper had 4 players: Vu Thanh Long, Nguyen Van Nhat, Le Tuan Anh and Huynh Van Long participating in the team, men's doubles and men's singles events. As a result, Vu Thanh Long won first prize in men's singles, Huynh Van Long - Le Tuan Anh won third prize in men's doubles. Hai Duong Newspaper won third prize in men's team.

This is an annual exchange activity between Party press agencies in the region to strengthen relationships and exchange expertise among journalists.

At the closing ceremony, the rotating flag of the 21st Northern Provinces and Cities Party Newspaper Table Tennis Tournament was awarded by Hung Yen Newspaper to Thai Binh Newspaper - the host of the tournament in 2025.
