Nearly 100 players participated in the 20th Northern Provinces and Cities Party Newspaper Table Tennis Tournament

The tournament attracted nearly 100 players from 12 press agencies including: Nhan Dan, Ha Noi Moi, Kinh te - Do thi, Hai Phong, Ha Nam, Thai Nguyen, Hai Duong, Bac Ninh, Hung Yen, Lang Son, Thai Binh, Hoa Binh. Compared to 2023, this year's table tennis tournament increased by 3 units and nearly 50 athletes participated.

Athletes competed in 13 categories: men's singles, men's doubles, men's team, women's team, men's singles (50 years old and above), men's singles (under 50 years old), women's singles (45 years old and above), women's singles (under 45 years old), men's doubles (50 years old and above), men's doubles (under 50 years old), women's doubles and mixed doubles.

According to the Organizing Committee, the 20th Northern Province and City Party Newspaper Table Tennis Tournament hosted by Hung Yen Newspaper is an annual exchange activity between Party newspaper agencies in the region, aiming to expand and strengthen relationships, solidarity, learning and exchanging journalism skills, contributing to improving the cultural and spiritual life of cadres, civil servants and employees of press agencies.

After the opening ceremony, the men's team, men's singles and women's singles events took place. The tournament ended on August 18.

The 21st Northern Provinces and Cities Party Newspaper Table Tennis Tournament in 2025 is hosted by Thai Binh Newspaper.
