Hung Yen Newspaper won the overall Party Newspaper Table Tennis Tournament of Northern provinces and cities

Hung Yen Newspaper team excellently won first prize in the 19th Northern Provinces and Cities Party Newspaper Table Tennis Tournament.

The Organizing Committee awarded first, second and third prizes to the Hung Yen, Hai Phong and Hai Duong Newspapers.

On August 18, the 19th Northern Provinces and Cities Party Newspaper Table Tennis Tournament 2023, hosted by Thai Nguyen Newspaper, closed at Thai Nguyen Sports Training and Competition Center.

After 2 days of the tournament, nearly 50 players from the newspapers: Ha Noi Moi, Ha Nam, Hung Yen, Hai Duong, Bac Ninh, Lang Son, Bac Kan, Hoa Binh and host Thai Nguyen completed 9 events including: men's singles, men's doubles, men's team, women's team, men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, mixed doubles.

In the men's singles leadership category, journalist Bui Van Tuong (Hoa Binh Newspaper) won first prize.

For the first time in the history of the tournament, the Hung Yen Newspaper athlete team won the first prize; the second and third prizes respectively belonged to Hai Phong Newspaper and Hai Duong Newspaper.

Hung Yen Newspaper's athletes won first place in the team competition. Hai Duong Newspaper's athletes won second place in the team competition.

Journalist Bui Van Tuong (Hoa Binh Newspaper) won the men's singles. The men's doubles event was won by the Department of Information and Communications of Thai Nguyen province.

Tennis player Tran Dinh Ha (Hai Duong Newspaper) won the men's singles, while the women's singles first prize went to tennis player Hoang Thi Hue (Hai Phong Newspaper).

In the men's doubles event, two players Nguyen Hoang Linh - Tran Kien Giang (Hung Yen Newspaper) won first prize.

Athletes Truong Thi Anh Tuyet - Hoang Thi Hue (Hai Phong Newspaper) won the women's doubles.

In the men's and women's doubles, first prize went to two players Dang Ngoc Hai - Pham Yen Khanh (New Hanoi Newspaper).

First prize in women's doubles, men's doubles, mixed doubles went to athletes from Hai Phong, Hung Yen, and Ha Noi Moi Newspapers, respectively.

In this tournament, Hai Duong Newspaper sent 3 players: Tran Dinh Ha, Vu Thanh Long and Le Tuan Anh, to participate in the team, men's doubles and men's singles events. As a result, player Tran Dinh Ha won the men's singles; the team won second place in the men's team; Tran Dinh Ha - Le Tuan Anh won third place in the men's doubles.

According to the Organizing Committee, the 19th Northern Provinces and Cities Party Newspaper Table Tennis Tournament hosted by Thai Nguyen Newspaper was successful in both organization and expertise. Players from some newspapers participating for the first time such as Lang Son, Bac Kan, Hoa Binh helped the tournament become more colorful, rich, and diverse in playing style.

Tennis player Tran Dinh Ha (Hai Duong Newspaper) won the men's singles championship.

This is an annual exchange activity between Party newspapers in the region, aiming to strengthen relationships, solidarity, and professional learning and exchange among journalists. After 3 seasons of interruption due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the tournament has been reorganized and attracted the participation of many Party newspapers in the region. A new feature of this year's tournament is that the Organizing Committee invited the Department of Information and Communications of Thai Nguyen province to participate.
At the closing ceremony, the rotating flag of the 20th Northern Provinces and Cities Party Newspaper Table Tennis Tournament was awarded by Thai Nguyen Newspaper to Hung Yen Newspaper - the host of the tournament in 2024.

Journalist Nguyen Ngoc Son, Editor-in-Chief of Thai Nguyen Newspaper, presented the rotating flag of the 20th Northern Provinces and Cities Party Newspaper Table Tennis Tournament 2024 to Hung Yen Newspaper.
