Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia requested press agencies to continue to deeply and comprehensively propagate directives, resolutions, policies, especially the guiding ideology of General Secretary To Lam on the era of national rise.
On the afternoon of December 16, in Can Tho City, the Central Propaganda Department coordinated with the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Vietnam Journalists Association to organize a National Press Conference to summarize work in 2024 and deploy tasks in 2025.
Speaking at the conference, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia acknowledged the results and commended the outstanding achievements of the press agencies in 2024, contributing to the overall development and success of the country.
Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia requested that in 2025, press agencies continue to deeply, comprehensively and promptly propagate the directives, resolutions and policies of the Party and State, especially the guiding ideology of General Secretary To Lam on the new era, the era of the Vietnamese nation's rise. The press needs to contribute to creating a new development space; encourage and create a creative emulation movement, and strongly fight against barriers and stagnation. From there, contribute with the Party, State and people to create a solid foundation to bring the country into a new era of development.
The press focuses on disseminating important political tasks, major events, and important anniversaries of the country in 2025, especially the Party Congresses at all levels leading up to the 14th National Congress of the Party; the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025)... Information and propaganda need to be focused, key, create a strong impression, commensurate with the scale of the events, have a high spread, and must create trust, momentum, and new motivation in the entire Party, people, and army. The press continues to promptly and comprehensively reflect the political, economic, cultural, and social life of the country, promote the image of a dynamic, innovative nation, and contribute to enhancing the country's position and prestige in the international arena.
The Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Information and Communications, and the Vietnam Journalists Association continue to maintain their role in directing, guiding, and managing the press. Press agencies continue to step up propaganda on Party building and rectification work; preventing corruption, negativity and waste. In particular, the press has stepped up information and propaganda to contribute to creating high unity in awareness and action throughout the Party and the entire political system to summarize Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW, dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Party Central Committee "Some issues on continuing to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently".
