According to the results of the assessment of the maturity level of digital transformation of the press in 2024 announced by the Press Department (Ministry of Information and Communications) on the afternoon of December 16 at the 2024 national press conference, Hai Duong Newspaper achieved an excellent level, ranked 5th in the group of 8 excellent press agencies of the local press sector including: Khanh Hoa Newspaper, Lao Cai Newspaper, Radio-Television Station and Binh Phuoc Newspaper, Economic and Urban Newspaper, Hai Duong Newspaper, Tuoi Tre Newspaper, Nghe An Newspaper, Ho Chi Minh City Women's Newspaper.
The set of indicators to evaluate and measure the maturity level of digital transformation of journalism in 2024 includes 5 pillars, 10 component indicators, and 43 criteria. The results are classified into 5 levels: excellent, good, fair, average, and poor.
Hai Duong Newspaper achieved a total score of 93.99/100 points. Of which, 3 pillars achieved maximum scores including: strategy 18/18 points, organizational and professional consistency 20/20 points, readers/audiences/listeners 23/23 points. The pillars of digital infrastructure, digital technology and information security achieved 22/24 points. The pillar of digital technology application level achieved 10.99/15 points.
In 2024, the whole country will have 282 central and local press agencies and magazines participating in the assessment of the maturity level of digital transformation of the press, with 28 units achieving excellent. The central press sector has 40 participating units, 10 units achieving excellent; the local press sector has 62 participating units, 8 units achieving excellent; the radio and television sector has 65 participating units, 10 units achieving excellent; the magazine sector has no units achieving excellent.
In 2024, Hai Duong Newspaper will make a breakthrough in digital transformation. The newspaper focuses on developing multimedia and multi-platform journalism and achieves high rankings in many aspects.
In particular, Hai Duong e-newspaper has been in the top 6 local Party newspapers with the highest number of visitors for many months, with about 2 million views/month. In September 2024 alone, it reached more than 2.4 million views, ranking 3rd in the Party newspaper system of provinces and cities nationwide.
