Audi A8 price reduction up to 2 billion VND, clearing inventory from 2022

Dealer adjustments help the Audi A8 close the price gap with the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and BMW 7-Series.

A dealer in the South is offering the Audi A8 L at a huge discount. The standard version costs only 4.1 - 4.2 billion VND. The Plus version costs 4.5 - 4.6 billion VND.

This price is 1-2 billion VND lower than the price when it was first launched (around 6 billion VND). Audi Vietnam representative confirmed that the company is having a discount policy for this car model.

However, customers who buy at the above price will have to accept "outdated cars". The above "huge" discount only applies to cars manufactured in 2022. Therefore, customers will use "old" cars, or some components and spare parts damaged due to being in the warehouse for a long time.

In the Vietnamese market, Audi A8 L competes directly with Mercedes-Benz S-Class (price from 5.039 billion VND) and BMW 7-Series (price from 4.499 billion VND), but with a much higher price.

Audi is not the only luxury brand offering incentives for "old" cars. In early March 2024, Mercedes-Benz Vietnam offered a similar policy for the 2022 production batch with a discount of VND210 - 719 million. What does the Audi A8 L have?

The Audi A8 L currently on sale in Vietnam is the facelift (mid-life upgrade) version of the 4th generation. As the name suggests, the A8 L is a long wheelbase (LWB) variant, so the dimensions are 5,302 x 1,945 x 1,488 (mm), with a wheelbase of 3,128mm.

Compared to its competitor Mercedes-Benz S-Class in Vietnam, Audi A8 L is 2mm longer, 8mm wider but has a wheelbase 88mm shorter.

The Audi A8 L interior is equipped with a series of high-end technologies and materials. The leather-wrapped steering wheel integrates function keys such as media, hands-free calling, and voice commands. Behind it are gearshift paddles and a 12.3-inch screen that acts as a speedometer. Users can customize the interface depending on their needs.

The Audi A8 L is equipped with a 10.1-inch central screen for entertainment, map viewing, etc. with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity. The sound system is a 23-speaker Bang&Olufsen system with a capacity of 1,920W. The standard A8 L version only has 17 Bang&Olufsen speakers and a capacity of 730W.

Audi A8 L in Vietnam uses a 3.0L twin-turbocharged V6 engine with mild-hybrid technology, maximum capacity of 340 horsepower and 500Nm of torque, 8-speed automatic transmission and quattro 4-wheel drive system.
