The Jury selected 42 quality works for the photo exhibition list. At the same time, excellent works were selected to award prizes according to categories. Each category: current events, social life, sports awarded 1 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze. Dividing categories to award prizes is one of the new features of this year's award ceremony.
Following the success of the fourth press gala in 2022, the Journalists and Public Opinion Newspaper launched the fifth press gala with the theme "Awakening the spirit". The theme carries the message: The more difficult the situation, the more we need to forge our spirit, the more challenges we face, the more we must strive to maintain our faith. The Vietnamese press faces many challenges as it continues to face increasingly fierce competition from cross-border platforms. The problem of press economics is also increasingly difficult for many newsrooms in the context of financial autonomy. Press agencies have been, are, and continue to seek ways to survive and develop, while constantly striving to maintain the spirit and core values of Vietnamese revolutionary journalism.
