On November 14, the People's Committee of Hai Duong province decided to revoke the recognition title of craft villages in Kinh Mon town. Accordingly, the titles of Duong Nham stone carving village, Pham Thai ward and Ha Trang silk weaving village, Thang Long commune were revoked due to not meeting the criteria prescribed in Decree 52/2018/ND-CP dated April 12, 2018 of the Government.

Specifically, Duong Nham stone carving village currently has only 2/970 households engaged in the craft, failing to meet the criteria for the percentage of households engaged in the craft (at least 20% of the total households in the area must participate in the craft). Ha Trang silk weaving village has stopped operating.

Previously, in 2004, the Provincial People's Committee recognized Ha Trang silk weaving village; in 2008, it recognized Duong Nham stone carving village.

Kinh Mon town currently has two remaining craft villages: onion production and processing in Hien Thanh ward; rice paper production in Tong Buong, Thai Thinh ward.
