Motorcycle plunges into ditch in Hanoi, 4 people in a family die

According to initial information, at around 8:30 p.m. on November 24, people discovered 4 people and a motorbike in a ditch near Dong Lac Primary School (Dong Lac Commune, Chuong My District, Hanoi).

It is known that there were no witnesses to the incident. When people discovered it, the motorbike was lying in a ditch about 4m wide and 3m deep, with its head down in the ditch, the water was more than 1m above the body of the motorbike. Also at the scene, the motorbike's ignition was still on.

People reported to Dong Lac Commune Police and coordinated to take a victim about 9 years old to the emergency room.

Three people died on the spot: a woman over 40 years old, a man about 20 years old and a child about 1 year old. The 9 year old child died in the hospital.

Initially, authorities determined that the victims were all members of the same family.

Chuong My District Police are currently investigating the cause of the incident.
