Vietnam is an attractive destination for international visitors during the New Year holiday.

Vietnam is becoming a popular destination for international tourists to celebrate New Year's Eve 2025, with the number of accommodation searches at this time increasing by 30% compared to last year, showing that the S-shaped country is increasingly attracting the world's attention.

Mr. Vu Ngoc Lam, Director of Agoda in Vietnam, said that South Korea, Japan, Thailand, Taiwan and the United States are the countries with the largest number of tourists choosing Vietnam to say goodbye to the old year.

Among them, Ho Chi Minh City maintains its position as the most sought-after destination, where visitors can admire the brilliant fireworks display on the Saigon River in the moment of welcoming 2025.

The pearl island of Phu Quoc rose to second place, up three places from last year. Familiar destinations such as Da Nang, Hanoi and Nha Trang were among the top five most popular stops for international visitors.

For the domestic tourist market, Ho Chi Minh City continues to affirm its leading position, followed by the dreamy city of Da Lat, Vung Tau with its peaceful beaches, the capital Hanoi and the coastal city of Nha Trang.
