'Ghost' ship stranded on Ninh Thuan beach becomes a popular check-in spot

In early 2023, a large ship suddenly ran aground at Bai Thong, Vinh Truong village, Phuoc Dinh commune, Thuan Nam district, Ninh Thuan province. Since then, this place has become a place attracting many tourists to check-in.

The ship is located about 500m from the shore. When the water recedes, the "giant", rusty, old ship lies alone on the deserted beach, creating a unique scene, reminding many people of the setting in American or Korean movies.

A few days ago, Ngoc Bich (born in 1995, Da Lat) had a trip to Ninh Thuan. Bich visited and took pictures of the ship. "I came here in the afternoon, the sunlight shone on the sparkling water, creating a unique contrast. The water was not too high so the green mossy rocks appeared. When the sunset fell, the scene became impressive, very nostalgic and artistic", Bich shared.

According to Bich, tourists can find the address of the "stranded ship" or "ghost ship" on Google Maps and follow it. If you don't know the way to the beach, you can ask the locals. "This is a spontaneous check-in point. In my opinion, to ensure safety, tourists should not get too close to the ship. Everyone should bring sandals to walk on the mossy beach to avoid being stabbed by sharp objects. When moving, be careful because it is quite slippery and avoid wading in when the water is high," Bich shared.

At this time, it does not rain, the sun is beautiful. In the morning, visitors can go to the beach to see seaweed, moss, in the afternoon watch the sunset.

"There are few places where tourists can admire such large ships at such close range. Normally, this type of ship only appears far offshore," said Mr. Phong. According to Mr. Phong, from Phan Rang Thap Cham city, tourists can go to Tu Thien moss beach, the stranded ship, Tanoli tourist area, Son Hai sand hill.

According to the investigation, this ship is named Thanh Hung 06, owned by a real estate trading company. On the journey from Nhon Trach port - Dong Nai to Cam Ranh port - Khanh Hoa, the ship encountered an accident, then drifted and got stuck on the coast of Bai Thong. The ship had a punctured bottom, broken rudder, rusted and degraded hull and recently the hull was cracked.
