Sichuan (China) is famous for its rich tourism resources, with amazing natural scenery and ancient towns with thousands of years of history.

In addition to some ancient towns that are important tourist attractions in Sichuan, there are also some towns that are thousands of years old that have gradually been forgotten, and very few people even know about their existence, such as Luoquan ancient town located in Neijiang city.

Luoquan is one of the ancient towns with a history of more than 1,700 years. When coming to Luoquan ancient town, the scene that people are interested in is the architecture of the complex of "nine palaces, one pagoda and eight shrines".

Unlike other places, the “nine palaces, one pagoda and eight shrines” here are connected to each other and form the shape of a dragon. Looking down from above, Luoquan Ancient Town looks like a giant dragon, so it is also called by another name “Luoquan Dragon”.

The entire town was built in the style of “looking at the river and leaning on the mountain”. Most of the houses here are listed for preservation because of the moss carpets on the roofs, the steps, the slate roads or the winding alleys all bear the mark of thousands of years of history.

Luoquan Ancient Town was established during the Qin Dynasty, but it only really flourished during the late Qing Dynasty. With convenient water and land transportation for trade, it brought a prosperous life to more than 4,000 people here.

Luoquan Ancient Town in Neijiang gives people a sense of simplicity and originality. Because it has not been reconstructed on a large scale, the architectural works in Luoquan still retain the original appearance of the ancient town.
