On September 20, the Compensation, Support and Resettlement Council of Kim Thanh district (Hai Duong) deployed a plan to reclaim land to clear the site for the Kim Lien - Kim Tan bridge construction project and access roads.
To implement the project, Kim Thanh district plans to reclaim 17,316 m2 of land belonging to Kim Tan and Kim Lien communes with a total of 31 households. Of which, Kim Tan commune will reclaim 8,325.3 m2 (20 households); Kim Lien commune will reclaim 8,990.7 m2 (11 households).
At the conference, representatives of families whose land areas were recovered heard information about the project; land recovery plan for site clearance; land recovery notice and related policies and regulations. Most families whose land areas were recovered agreed with the policy of implementing the project.
According to the representative of the Kim Thanh District Compensation, Support and Resettlement Council, the land acquisition and inventory will begin from September 21 to September 26.
The project to build Kim Lien - Kim Tan bridge and the approach roads at both ends of the bridge on the Kim Luong - Lien Hoa district road was included by Kim Thanh district in the 2024 public investment plan, with a total investment capital of 74 billion VND.
The project will build a reinforced concrete bridge across the Bang Lai River (replacing the current pontoon bridge), connecting National Highway 5 - Provincial Road 390E - National Highway 17B. Thereby, it aims to increase the exploitation capacity as well as promote the existing efficiency of the route through the two communes of Kim Tan and Kim Lien; shortening the travel time in the area leading to National Highway 17B, National Highway 5 and vice versa.
The project is expected to start construction in October 2024.
