Phan Boi Chau Secondary School (Tu Ky) increased 30 enrollment quotas for grade 6.

The new point this year is that students must achieve excellent results in completing the learning and training tasks of grade 5 in the 2023-2024 school year to be eligible to apply. Last year, students only needed to complete the primary school program.

Another new point is the change in bonus points. Students who win medals and prizes in international and national intellectual competitions and playgrounds organized or jointly organized by the Ministry of Education and Training will have their bonus points reduced by 0.5 points/prize compared to the previous school year. Specifically, first prize (gold medal) is worth 2.5 points; second prize (silver medal) is worth 2 points; third prize (bronze medal) is worth 1.5 points; and consolation prize is worth 1 point.

Incentive points for students who won provincial prizes organized or jointly organized by the Department of Education and Training of Hai Duong province; the Provincial Youth and Children's Creativity Contest organized by the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Hai Duong province decreased by 0.1-0.2 points/prize compared to the previous school year. First prize is awarded 0.8 points; second prize is awarded 0.7 points; third prize is awarded 0.6 points; consolation prize is awarded 0.5 points.

Students who win prizes in the Internet English Contest and District Robocon will all receive 0.1 points per prize and no more points for consolation prizes. First prize will receive 0.4 points; second prize will receive 0.3 points; third prize will receive 0.2 points.

The incentive points for each student do not add up to more than 3 points.

The basic admission scores and methods are the same as last year. Only in case the admission scores are equal, the candidate with the higher incentive score will be given priority.

Students continue to take the test to assess their ability in two subjects: Math and Vietnamese in the form of objective multiple choice and essay questions. Time to complete the test is 60 minutes.

Candidates are expected to take the aptitude test on June 7. Admission results will be announced on June 9.
