Thanh Ha District (Hai Duong) has a plan to coordinate with An Lao District (Hai Phong) to prohibit vehicles from passing through Quang Thanh Bridge in case of major impact from storm No. 3.
On the morning of September 7, the Thanh Ha District Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue inspected the work of preventing and combating storm No. 3 at a number of ferry terminals. Through the inspection, 100% of ferry terminal owners complied with the request to stop operations to prevent and avoid the storm. 27 fish cage owners (100%) in the district cut off the power source outside the fish cages, moving people and property to a safe place.
The same morning, the delegation inspected the Quang Thanh bridge area. The district assessed that if people and vehicles move across the bridge in strong winds, it would be very dangerous. In an emergency situation, the Head of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Thanh Ha district will coordinate with An Lao district (Hai Phong) to decide to prohibit people and vehicles from moving across Quang Thanh bridge, to ensure absolute safety for people and property of the people.
Faced with the impact of storm No. 3, Comrade Tang Ba Bay, Chairman of Thanh Ha District People's Committee, Head of Thanh Ha District Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue, requested communes and towns to prioritize storm prevention and control tasks. Chairmen of communes and towns must be held responsible if they are subjective and irresponsible in directing and preventing storms, causing people to be injured or die due to storms and rains.
