South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) cited an ongoing analysis as saying that the North's missile launch took place at around 8 a.m. local time in waters off the port of Shinpo.
In a message to reporters, the JCS also said the military is strengthening surveillance and vigilance, and closely coordinating with the US to monitor signs and further activities of North Korea.
