Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Justice Dang Hoang Oanh emphasized: Inheriting and promoting the humanitarian tradition of the Vietnamese people, over the past 76 years, with the lenient policy of the Party and State of Vietnam, there have been nearly 40 special amnesties to release hundreds of thousands of prisoners early to return to their families and the community. They have been received and facilitated by their families, all levels, sectors, and social organizations, helping them to quickly stabilize their lives and reintegrate into the community.

Prisoner Nguyen Van Tien - who was granted amnesty this time expressed his gratitude for the lenient policy of the Party and State.

The Deputy Minister reminded the pardoned prisoners: “The pardon is just the beginning of the path to goodness. There are many challenges and difficulties ahead, along with temptations... But with the process of striving to study, work, and make progress in reform at the prison, I believe that everyone will overcome difficulties and challenges to truly become honest people, build a stable life, a happy family, and not re-offend or violate the law.”

Deputy Minister Dang Hoang Oanh also hopes that all levels, sectors, and relatives of the families of those who have been pardoned will open their arms and create the most favorable conditions for those who have been pardoned to quickly reintegrate into the community.
