Typically, in just 1 week, on the public Facebook group “CHỌ ĐÔNG” (the group currently has more than 60,000 members), there were dozens of recruitment notices for domestic helpers from individuals in Hai Duong City. Accordingly, there are 2 forms of recruitment: hourly work or meals and accommodation at the employer’s house; salary and bonus are negotiable.

Through practical research, it is known that the current salary of domestic workers in Hai Duong ranges from 4-7 million VND/person/month (excluding bonuses), depending on the form of work by the hour or eating and staying at the employer's house. Most domestic workers do not sign labor contracts, only verbal agreements. Domestic workers are not covered by social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance. In case the domestic worker is not suitable, the employer can terminate the rental agreement at any time.
