In fact, there have been candidates who violated the exam regulations by bringing prohibited items into the exam room such as mobile phones, erasers, etc. The Hai Duong Department of Education and Training especially reminded candidates about the items that are allowed and not allowed to be brought into the exam room. Candidates must deposit prohibited items in the designated place.

Prohibited items to bring into the exam room include: carbon paper, erasers, alcoholic beverages; weapons and explosives, flammable substances; documents, communication equipment (receiving, broadcasting information, recording audio, video) or containing information to cheat during the exam.

Items that candidates are allowed to bring into the examination room include: pens, rulers, pencils, erasers, squares, graphing rulers, drawing tools, handheld calculators without text editing functions and without memory cards, and Vietnam Geography Atlas compiled according to the 2006 General Education Program (without markings or writing any other content).

At 2:00 p.m. on June 26, 2024, candidates must be present at the examination site to complete the examination procedures, receive their examination cards and correct any errors (if any). The documents required are the examination notice/citizen identification card. Candidates must remember the instructions of the examination supervisor regarding the examination regulations. On June 27-28, 2024, candidates must be present at the examination site on time according to the examination schedule. Candidates who arrive more than 15 minutes late after the test start time signal will not be allowed to take that and the remaining examination sessions.

Exam papers and answers that have not been made public are classified as “top secret” state secrets. Candidates who disclose or leak exam papers will be prosecuted. The period of protection of “top secret” state secrets for exam papers/subjects only ends when the time for multiple-choice exams/subjects has expired and 2/3 of the time for essay exams has expired.

Upon receiving the test paper, candidates must carefully check the number of pages and the quality of the printed pages; if they discover that the test paper is missing pages or is torn, damaged, smudged, or faded, they must immediately notify the invigilator, no later than 5 minutes from the start of the test time; after that time, candidates are responsible for themselves. For multiple-choice tests, candidates must check the writing and filling of the test code to ensure that the code is written and filled in on the multiple-choice answer sheet, and the test code written on the two test receipts must match the code on the test paper.

When taking the multiple-choice test, candidates are only allowed to write personal information on the multiple-choice answer sheet in blue ink (red ink is not allowed) according to the instructions of the test supervisor. In the registration number and test code sections, candidates write the registration number and test code in blue ink; fill in the corresponding boxes with a pencil to ensure accuracy. The answer sheet must be filled in with a pencil, absolutely not with a pen.

In the combined exam, the component subjects must have the same test code. When receiving the test for each component subject, the candidate is responsible for checking the test code. If the code is not the same, he/she must immediately report to the invigilator within 5 minutes from the time the test is distributed to receive the appropriate test code. The answers must be filled in the correct position for each subject on the multiple-choice answer sheet.

When submitting the exam, candidates are responsible for checking the personal information on the exam paper and the multiple-choice answer sheet to ensure accuracy; write down the page number for essay subjects, the exam code for multiple-choice subjects and sign both exam receipts. Only leave the exam room with permission from the invigilator.

On July 17, the Ministry of Education and Training announced the exam results. Candidates can look up their exam scores by logging into the exam management software using their assigned accounts or looking up their scores on the electronic information portals of the Department of Education and Training, the Ministry of Education and Training, etc.

If a candidate is sick, in pain or has a special emergency before the exam, parents must immediately notify the school leaders where the candidate is studying in grade 12 to receive special instructions if they meet the required conditions.

Candidates should be calm, confident and do well in the 2024 high school graduation exam; parents should actively take care of candidates' health during the exam days.
